MOVIE

ABOUT

With expertise and teamwork
Realizing space from drawings

Working with in-house planners and designers, as well as external partners such as construction companies, we turn blueprints into reality. In other words, production staff at Tanseisha turn 2D into 3D. They draw blueprints with their hands, get on the ground with their feet, and use their heads to propose materials and Spatial Production, creating spaces that move people's hearts. They are professionals who are required to have expertise in a wide range of areas, including safety and environmental considerations, as well as budget and process management.

POINT

  • 01

People who love space and design

From stores and public facilities to museums, stadiums and world expos, Tanseisha designs over 6,000 spaces a year. Your inquisitiveness and curiosity can be put to use in creating your space.

  • 02

People who want to acquire a variety of skills

In addition to knowledge of materials and design, you will acquire a wide range of expertise, including safety, compliance with laws and regulations, budget management, Environmental Consideration, universal design, and customer negotiations.

  • 03

People who want to create things in a team

We can create a space by communicating not only with internal members but also with external partners such as construction companies and customers.

Project management

We manage the entire process from construction to completion. In order to consistently manage everything from securing the budget to scheduling the process and quality assurance, we need a multifaceted perspective that allows us to grasp the overall picture of the project while also paying attention to the details.

Construction Consideration

We verify the feasibility of the design from a technical standpoint. We participate in the project from the early stages, checking drawings and proposing new materials and construction methods. This stage, where design and technology intersect, requires creativity and logic.

Construction management

You will directly supervise and manage work on site. This is an important job that requires you to adhere to safety regulations, streamline work, and ensure quality. Construction management often involves teamwork, so communication skills are also extremely important.

Quality Check

We carry out detailed inspections and evaluations to ensure that the final product is in line with the design drawings, and we make final checks before delivering it to the client. Each and every one of these detailed checks is directly linked to the success of the project.

Communication with customers

We thoroughly understand the customer's requests, communicate our thoughts and opinions, and work with the site to give them form. We don't just solve the customer's problems, but also propose additional value as space creation professionals.

Technical Research

We constantly research new building materials and technologies, and stay up to date with the latest trends. By applying this information to specific projects, we are able to create innovative spaces.

    • Reasons for joining the company

      A relaxed corporate culture
      Attracted

I love manufacturing and clothes, and wanted to be involved in the interior design of fashion brand stores, so I went to an architecture university. Even after entering graduate school, my desire remained the same, and I narrowed my job search down to the display industry. I decided to join Tanseisha because I was attracted by the fact that the interviews were more casual and relaxed than at other companies. There were no standard questions about my motivation for applying or my academic background, and apart from my self-introduction and presentation of my assignments, the interview was mostly free talk, so I was able to have a very relaxed conversation. That atmosphere has not changed since I joined the company, and I feel it is part of Tanseisha's corporate culture.

    • job description

The fashion industry you dream of
      in charge

After six months of training, I joined the company and was assigned to work under a senior colleague who is in charge of many high-end fashion brands. I feel very motivated to be able to work in a job I have always dreamed of. Currently, I am mainly in charge of the pre-construction process, such as exchanging blueprints and examining estimates. There is no manual for this job, so it is not always the case that it will be perfect if you just follow the blueprints. That is what makes it difficult, but also what makes it interesting. There are many obstacles to overcome before the project is completed, but the sense of accomplishment when you work together with employees and partner companies to successfully complete the space is all the more special.

    • Future Outlook

      As a specialist
      Gain knowledge and experience

I love fashion, so I want to pursue my expertise as a specialist in the high-end brand field in which I am currently involved. To that end, I am considering acquiring skills in using 3D software such as BIM to increase my value as a human resource. I would also like to actively participate in training and other learning opportunities to gain more knowledge and experience. At Tanseisha, the relationship with seniors and superiors is close, and it is an environment where it is easy to consult about projects and careers, so I would like to grow in my own way while taking into account the opinions of various people.

    • Memories
      work

      All over Japan
      I have memories

The team I belong to has many construction sites in regional cities, and we have been to construction sites all over Japan. We stay in various cities from Sapporo in the north to Okinawa in the south for several months until the project is completed, so we have many memories of each place. There were years when we spent more time in the regional areas than at home. Of course, the company contracted the apartment for us to live in during that time. One place that left a particularly strong impression was Nagoya, where there was a vintage interior shop near the property I was in charge of, and I frequented it frequently (laughs).

    • Reasons for joining the company

      In a warm atmosphere
I was able to see my personality.

As a student, I majored in environmental engineering at an architecture department. I learned about Tanseisha when I started job hunting, and my interest deepened as I attended seminars and information sessions. I was interviewing for space design jobs, mainly in the display industry and for companies that deal with office furniture, and the interview atmosphere at Tanseisha was overwhelmingly warm. It was an interview that gave me the impression that I was able to get a sense of my personality through casual conversation, including the final interview with the executives, and I felt that I would be able to work comfortably here, so I decided to join the company. This feeling hasn't changed since I actually started working there, and I have never had any problems with interpersonal relationships!

    • job description

From large-scale exhibitions to interior decoration
      Wide range of experience

Since joining the company, I have been involved in projects for large-scale exhibitions held at international exhibition centers. As the site manager, I am in charge of proposing electrical and audio equipment and materials to be used, and making on-site adjustments, standing between the client and partner companies. I have always admired creating large, glamorous spaces, and this project was exactly what I wanted, so I find it very rewarding. I am also currently involved in projects for the interior design of fashion brands and theme parks. Unlike limited-time exhibitions, this job involves creating spaces that will be used for a long time, so I find it both challenging and interesting that the approach and finishing touches are completely different.

    • Future Outlook

All types of work can be handled
      Towards all-round talent

I aim to become an all-rounder who can handle a wide range of fields, from exhibitions and interior design to food and beverage and fashion brands. I can raise my hand for any project. Eventually, I want to be able to say, "I can do all types of construction!" In the future, I would like to be involved in large-scale exhibitions overseas. I think that only Tanseisha can experience projects of that scale, so first of all, I want to gain various on-site experiences and steadily improve my skills.

    • Memories
      work

The highlight project of the exhibition
      learning

I was in charge of a manufacturer's booth at a large-scale automotive industry exhibition. It was a project that could be considered the highlight of the exhibition, and I had always wanted to work on it, so I was very happy when I raised my hand and joined the team. Through this project, I learned that in order to create a space safely and without accidents by the deadline, planning is more important than anything else. We had to prepare various plans so that we could respond even if something unexpected happened on-site. At the same time, we were also required to have the ability to make last-minute decisions and have the ability to think quickly. Although it was a short period of time, I was able to experience the passion of the manufacturing site up close, and it was a fun job that taught me a lot.

The enthusiasm of our employees and the relaxed atmosphere
      atmosphere

At university, I studied a wide range of subjects including architecture and product design. In parallel with working in the display industry during my job search, I also applied to interior design companies. Among them, one interview was a major reason why I decided to join Tanseisha. Looking at Tanseisha's track record, I had a strong desire to work on a certain museum project, and the interviewer was the person in charge of that project. When I told him my thoughts, he also enthusiastically told me an episode from his work. He was frank and easy to talk to, and even in the short time we spent together, he left a strong impression on me. I was strongly attracted to the relaxed atmosphere that was different to other companies.

    • job description

      From Commercial Spaces
Towards a cultural and exchange space

After joining the company, I was assigned to a division that handles Commercial Spaces, where I was in charge of hotel wedding halls and suites. In my fifth year, I was transferred to a division that handles museums and other facilities. I am currently mainly in charge of the preparatory process before construction. Even a single screw can greatly change the impression of an interior. This is why I value not cutting corners, paying attention to even the smallest details that customers may not notice. To that end, I work on each and every task, calculating backwards from the on-site process and being conscious of anticipating Execution Design from the basic drawing stage.

    • Future Outlook

      Towards two goals
      Seize the opportunity

One is to be involved in work that can contribute to my hometown, Nagano. The other is my current goal to be involved in national projects such as the Olympics and the World Expo. To that end, I try to proactively express my interests within the company. The company has a culture that gives opportunities to such voices, so I want to make sure I take advantage of them. At the same time, I am also interested in management. There are many seniors and superiors at Tanseisha that I can look up to, so I would like to steal and learn little by little, and pass on my on-site experience and skills to the next generation.

The focus is on the media
      Featured

One project at an aquarium in Tokyo that left a lasting impression on me was creating a jellyfish tank. I think that jellyfish are generally viewed on a wall, but in this project we made it so that it could be viewed from above. The lighting was also controlled by a program, and we incorporated mechanisms that change Spatial Production depending on the season. Jellyfish cannot swim without a current, so it was difficult to create a large 7-meter tank where the jellyfish would not gather in one place or sink...But we overcame all that trouble, and I was very happy that it was featured in many media outlets, including on television, after it opened.
