Overview
Complex facility consisted of restaurant, café bar, chapel, banquet, flower shop etc. Situated inside "SHINAGAWA GOOS", commercial complex born of the renovation of "Hotel Pacific Tokyo" in front of Shinagawa Station.
Issues/Themes
To realize facilities recognized by both domestic and international people in their 30's, main target of the premises, as a flagship of the city of Shinagawa, that became a new gateway of Japan following the internationalization of Haneda airport.
Space Solution/Realization
Both sensitivity and familiarity have been pursued in designing, not only by making good use of interior decoration of the historical distinguished hotel, but by incorporating the needs of the people in their 30's. "Cool Japan" is a key word of the facility, which is sprinkled with Japanese art and traditional crafts, such as Japanese lacquer, paper or braid. Japanese people would rediscover the traditional Japanese touch, that will surely enchant foreign visitors.

"Garden Café with Terrace Bar". Japanese traditional braid is used for pendant luminaire to add an accent to the space.
"Garden Restaurant All Day Dining" entrance. The graphic of hand-drawn cityscape of Tokyo covers the wall.
