About "CRESNECT" and "point 0 marunouchi"

"CRESNECT" is a co-creation platform established to create new value and services related to air and space in collaboration with various partner companies. "point 0 marunouchi" is a membership-based co-working space to realize the first project, "Office Space of the Future." Based on the theme of "work style reform," one of the most pressing social issues, we are conducting demonstration experiments on various spatial content with the aim of realizing the ideal office space.
A wide variety of companies will participate, and by utilizing actual office spaces where people work, the project will collect and analyze the effects on efficiency, creativity, and health of workers of various elements such as office movement patterns, posture while working, indoor temperature and humidity, interior design, lighting, sound, fragrance, and food and drink, including alcohol. Feedback information from actual users of the workspace will also be used to verify the effects and improve the spatial content.
Through these spatial content, we also aim to become the first coworking space in Japan to receive the WELL Building Standard, an office space certification system in which the comfort and wellness of workers are key evaluation points.

Background of our new participation

The meaning and role of "space" in Hospitality Spaces we create, such as hotels, Commercial Spaces such as large shopping facilities, retail stores and restaurants, and Cultural Spaces such as museums, is changing dramatically due to social changes such as the declining birthrate and aging population, work style reform, and the promotion of IoT. Office spaces are also being reviewed due to changes in work styles and the hiring of diverse human resources, and relocations and renovations are progressing to accommodate changes in the "workplace." The office-related business that we are involved in is also expanding, and the business volume in the past three years has increased by about three times compared to the previous three years. We ourselves have been reviewing our work styles since we relocated our head office in September 2015, creating spaces and systems that suit each employee, and working to improve creativity, productivity, and business efficiency.
We decided to participate in this demonstration experiment in order to utilize the know-how we have cultivated in spatial planning, design, and Spatial Production to work with other companies to create better office spaces.

Future plans

The telework adoption rate for companies is 19.1% (source: Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' FY2018 "Telecommunications Usage Trend Survey"), and many people still stay in the office during the day. Therefore, in this demonstration experiment, we will utilize our space creation know-how and technology, data held by each company, and combine it with the latest IoT technology to create office spaces that are easier to work in, more comfortable, healthier, and more productive. We will also work on proposing new spaces, improving the value of spaces, and developing services for space creation, with an eye toward applying this to other spaces.
