Results of the Museum Character Awards 2024

This year, the top three characters received over 20,000 votes in a fierce battle.
There was also a big movement involving the local community, and more messages of support from voters than usual.

The Museum Character Awards introduces museum mascots submitted by Museums, science museums, zoos, aquariums, etc. across the country in IM. An online popularity vote is held to determine the most popular museum mascot in Japan that year. Through unique characters that reflect the characteristics of each museum, the aim is to stimulate interest in the museum itself and to encourage more people to visit museums. The awards have been held since 2010, and this year marks the 15th time.

Thank you for your many votes.

What is "IM [Internet Museum]"?
Based on the concept of "Life with Museum," this is one of Japan's largest museum information websites, introducing approximately 8,000 museums across Japan. In addition to information on museum facilities, special exhibitions, and events, the website offers a wide range of content, including original interview reports, information on curator recruitment, and exhibition ticket giveaways, making it a popular choice for museum fans across the country.
