We will be hosting an online talk session with Seiichi Saito and Yuko Nagayama, renowned creators at the forefront of urban development, to consider the future of urban development and mixed-use development. Using examples such as Produce and creation process for the Osaka-Kansai Expo and reuse and recycling initiatives after the expo concluded, we will discuss the perspective (experiential value) necessary for "sustainable development" in the future society.

Mr. Seiichi Saito
Panoramatics
He studied architectural design at Columbia University's Department of Architecture and founded Rhizomatiks Co., Ltd. (now Abstract Engine Co., Ltd.) in 2006. In 2020, he formed the design collective "Panoramatics," which works on regional design, Tourism, digital transformation, etc., with the theme of "CREATIVE ACTION." He will serve as chairman of the Good Design Award judging committee from 2023. He is also the co-creation program director for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Yuko Nagayama
Architect / Yuko Nagayama Architectural Design
Born in Tokyo in 1975. After working at Aoki Jun Architectural Planning, she established Yuko Nagayama Architectural Design in 2002. Her major works include the Teshima Yokoo House, the Japan Pavilion at the Dubai World Expo, Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, the Women's Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and the Panasonic Group Pavilion "Nomo's Country." She has received numerous awards, including the JIA Newcomer Award (2014), Yamanashi Prefecture Architectural Culture Award, Tokyo Architectural Award Excellence Award (2018), Lighting Design Award Grand Prize (2021), WAF Highly Commended (2022), and IF Design Award (2023). Currently, plans for Torch Tower and other projects are underway.

He joined Tanseisha in 1999 and participated in the launch of the Cross Media Incubation Center (now Cross Media Innovation Headquarters) in 2017. He has been involved in creating spaces in a wide range of fields, from events and expositions to exhibition facilities, and is currently focusing on R&D activities. He sees space as a medium for experience, and is working to create moving experiences that combine space-making know-how with technology and ideas, aiming to create spaces that contribute to corporate and regional branding and social innovation.
