Our designers will be participating in the JCD booth "30 Creators Opening Up the Future/U45 Exhibition" (organized by the Japan Commercial Environmental Design Association (JCD)/co-organized by the Nikkei Inc.) at the 55th Retail Trade Fair "JAPAN SHOP 2026" (organized by the Nikkei Inc.) to be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) from Tuesday, March 3rd to Friday, March 6th, 2026. The booth will host a talk show, "JCD TALK LOUNGE," where Toshitaka Tanaka, Senior Creative Expert at Design Center Cultural and Communication Space Design Bureau, will serve as moderator on Tuesday, March 3rd, Satoko Machida General Manager of the Creative & Development Bureau, will take the stage at the 2:45 PM session on Thursday, March 5th.

Toshitake Tanaka
Senior Creative Expert, Cultural and Interactive Space Design Department, Design Center

He has worked on a wide range of facilities, including museums, children's facilities, and disaster prevention and earthquake disaster facilities. He is strongly committed to establishing a context that connects the theme of each facility to the spatial design, and to creating spaces that spread messages and activities. He is currently traveling around the country with the motto of "creating facilities that people want to visit again and again."
Satoko Machida
Director of Creative & Development Department Design Center

He has gained creative experience in a wide range of fields, including bustling Commercial Spaces, comfortable office spaces, and corporate museums incorporating digital Spatial Production. He launched the "Visual Design Unit," a creative team that aims to create spatial experiences with a focus on "visuals," and is expanding his design field while actively collaborating with creators from different fields. He aims to create "hospitably designed spaces" that generate empathy and convey a message.
