One of our employees will be speaking at a talk session at the "JAPAN FURNITURE SHOW by IFFT 2026".

Taisuke Kamiguchi, Principal Creative Director of our Design Center, will be speaking at a talk session (organized by the Japan Furniture Industry Promotion Association) held as part of the JAPAN FURNITURE SHOW on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Tokyo Midtown (MINATO CITY-ku, Tokyo).

JAPAN FURNITURE SHOW by IFFT 2026 is an exhibition that allows visitors to rediscover the appeal of furniture brands from all over Japan and experience their potential from a new perspective. In addition to furniture displays from each brand, the exhibition will feature installations that convey the background of furniture production and the charm of the production areas. Furthermore, through talk sessions and brand presentations by leading creators active both domestically and internationally, the exhibition will comprehensively communicate the current state and future of Japanese furniture culture.

Talk Session Overview

Theme	Thinking about "Japanese Furniture" from a spatial perspective—Why choose Japanese furniture? Hotels, offices, commercial facilities—these are just some of the many spaces we visit in our daily lives. The furniture that makes up these spaces is selected to match the architecture and spatial concept, and sometimes even specially made for that particular location. In this session, we will welcome professionals involved in the selection and ordering of such furniture to unravel the strengths and potential of "Japanese furniture" as seen through actual projects. We will consider the value of Japanese furniture and why it is chosen, from the perspective of those who create spaces.

Speakers	Taisuke Kamiguchi Design Center Principal Creative Director Starting his career in the restaurant industry, he has expanded his work to retail, mixed-use facilities, and international trade fairs. In recent years, his work has diversified to include office buildings, hotels, and the design of the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line 2020 series trains, stemming from his design work on the Shinagawa headquarters of Tanseisha. He has received numerous international awards, including the MUSE Design Award (USA), the iF Design Award (Germany), and the I-conic Award (Germany). He believes in achieving missions together with clients through co-creation.
