Tanseisha will participate as a member of the executive committee for the "Universal Camp Tokyo 2018" event, which will be held at Shinagawa Season Terrace (MINATO CITY) from Friday, April 27th to Saturday, April 28th, 2018. This event, which will be held for the second time following last year, is being held by companies active in the Shibaura Konan area in collaboration with people living in MINATO CITY and the local area, with the aim of realizing a society where everyone can live vibrantly together, regardless of age or disability, and will send a message to society at large.
For 13 years, we have been co-hosting "Universal Camp in Hachijojima" with the NPO Universal Event Association. "Universal Camp in Hachijojima" is an exchange event that brings together various participants based on the ideas of normalization and diversity. For "Universal Camp TOKYO 2018," the local government and companies based in the Shibaura Konan area will work together as part of their social contribution activities in the region, providing an opportunity for diverse people to gather, interact, and understand each other in the city center under the theme of "Understanding diversity in the region and realizing a symbiotic society."
This year, a new event will be held entitled "Diversity Management Conference," which will feature a lecture by Akira Tanaka (President and Chief Executive Ofcer of WOWOW Inc.) entitled "Let's Get Involved! 2020 - Lessons from the Broadcasting of Para-Sports," as well as an interaction program featuring our own Takahashi Hisaya (Design Center / Principal Creative Director).
In addition, a variety of special content will be provided, including the "Diversity Salon" talk show featuring Paralympic medalists, which was well received last year, and programs introducing activities. In addition, anyone can participate free of charge in parasports experience programs such as "CYBER BOCCIA," which uses music and the latest technology Spatial Production "Boccia," an official Paralympic sport that originated in Europe, and "Blind Football," a five-a-side football game for visually impaired people.
We look forward to seeing you all.

Comments from Tanseisha employees participating in this event
Takahashi Hisaya (Design Center / Principal Creative Director)
--- Speaking at the "Diversity Management Conference"
Tanseisha's universal design aims to achieve three perspectives: Universal Design for Hardware, Universal Design for Software, and Universal Design for the Heart. We believe in the power of design to enrich diverse cultures and people's hearts, and we want to create a variety of new experiences and emotions in spaces that everyone can enjoy. We are very much looking forward to being able to communicate the ideals of universal design together with various companies and organizations, and people of a wide range of generations.
[Profile] After joining Tanseisha in 1984, he has been involved in the design of many information spaces, including museums. He strives to design from both the perspective of the client, who wants to effectively disseminate information, and the perspective of the visitor, who wants to learn while having fun.
[Major projects] Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center, Shizuoka Prefecture; Sumida Hokusai Museum; Global Gallery, National Museum of Nature and Science; Kitakyushu City Museum of Natural History and Human History, Journey of Life Museum, etc.
Katsuhiro Nishioka (Corporate Planning Division, Corporate Planning Department)
--- Participation in the "Art and Sign Language Project" activity introduction program
The "Art and Sign Language Project" aims to create an environment where a wide variety of people can connect with each other and enjoy art in a fun and enriching way, with the keywords "art," "museum," "sign language," and "people who are deaf or hard of hearing." Here we introduce our efforts with art museums. Please come and visit us.
[Profile] After joining Tanseisha in 2005, he was involved in creating Cultural Spaces as a CG designer. He continues to participate in the management of "Universal Camp in Hachijojima". Currently, he is working to spread and practice the idea of universal design, such as taking charge of planning and managing company-wide diversity training, making use of his own experience with hearing impairment.
