Tanseisha will once again be co-hosting with Fujitsu Limited the "Now is the time to support! Tohoku Reconstruction Event 2019 - Learn, Eat, and Think about the Future of the Disaster-stricken Areas" at Shinagawa Season Terrace (MINATO CITY, Tokyo) on Wednesday, June 5th and Thursday, June 6th, 2019.
This year marks the third time this event has been held, and products from the disaster-stricken areas of Miyagi, Fukushima, and Iwate Prefecture will be sold directly. In addition, a panel exhibition entitled "Eight Years Since 3/11: The Current Situation in the Disaster-stricken Areas" and "Thinking About the Future of the Disaster-stricken Areas Through Photos" will introduce the current state of the disaster-stricken areas, which are in the middle of recovery, through comparative photos of the time of the disaster and the present, including local newspaper articles from the Kahoku Shimpo. In addition, through the introduction of examples of town development actions that Fujitsu Limited and our company have taken in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, we hope to support the disaster-stricken areas and share an opportunity to think about them with all visitors. This year, we will also hold a special exhibition, "HARU Light & Letters Exhibition." We hope that the photographs and written messages by photographer Katsumi Hirabayashi and copywriter Kenji Yokokawa will inspire people to realize that they have hope for the future.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Panels will be on display showing spaces that were realized as a result of our own proposals, the revival of a museum long awaited by children in disaster-stricken areas, and plans for a facility that will pass on the lessons of the earthquake to future generations. We have worked with people in disaster-stricken areas to pass on memories, confront challenges, and create new value for the region. With passion and creativity, Tanseisha will contribute to the realization of a richer society and lifestyles through the creation of better spaces.

"Yo" -HARU- Light & Letters Exhibition

We will be holding an exhibition of "Messages in Photographs and Words" by photographer Katsumi Hirabayashi and copywriter Kenji Yokogawa.
Since the disaster, Hirabayashi has continued to take photos of the rising sun, hoping for the recovery of Tohoku, and has held photo exhibitions in Japan and abroad to convey the situation in the disaster-stricken areas and maintain interest. Last year, copywriter Yokokawa added words to the exhibition, which developed into a "Message in Photos and Words" exhibition. This time, we will be introducing it as a special exhibition.
