Together with the Japan Ninja Council (Minato MINATO CITY, Tokyo, Chairman: Mie Prefecture Governor Suzuki Eikei), the only official organization for ninjas in Japan, we will be working to support "ninja tourism" to attract Tourism to ninja-related facilities across the country.
This initiative is part of the "NINJA NIPPON PROJECT," which aims to promote the charms of Japan both domestically and internationally through the theme of "ninja." It aims to teach inbound tourists about "real ninjas" backed by ancient documents, providing them with an opportunity to deepen their interest in them.
In the future, we will combine the knowledge of the Japan Ninja Council with Tanseisha's know-how in exhibition Spatial Production to contribute to the promotion of a new Tourism network known as "ninja tourism."

Japan Ninja Council and Tanseisha support "Ninja Tourism" connecting ninja villages across the country

Background of base creation support

According to the "Ninja Global Survey" conducted by the Japan Ninja Council in 2017 (targeting a total of 2,000 people in 10 countries (※)), the recognition rate of ninjas was 98.7%, with recognition of ninjas exceeding 97% in all countries surveyed. In addition, due to the influence of anime, movies, and games that feature ninjas, "NINJA" is very popular overseas, and there is a possibility that it will be used more widely as a unique international Tourism resource of Japan. Historical sites and facilities where you can experience ninja history and culture are scattered throughout Japan, but each one was independent. In the future, we will support the creation of facilities that connect ninja-related places all over the country as Tourism destinations and utilize them together.
* Surveyed countries: China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States, Australia, France, Germany

About the first support case: "NINJA Information Center OSAKA"

As the first step of this initiative, we supported the creation of the space for the "NINJA Information Center Osaka" (owner: EDION Corporation; hereinafter referred to as "this facility"), which opened on June 7th within the "EDION Namba Main Store" with the themes of "experience and sensation" and "discovery and excitement."
As a flagship store in Osaka, which attracts many foreign tourists to Japan, EDION Corporation aimed to enrich the experience of Japanese culture, and in response to this, the knowledge and technology of the Japan Ninja Council and Tanseisha were utilized in the creation of this facility. It also incorporates a gateway function that connects and utilizes ninja-related places all over the country as Tourism destinations. (Photo: TAKUMI HAYASHI)

The purpose of the Japan Ninja Council and our company's initiatives

The Japan Ninja Council is active in the areas of academic research on ninjas, collecting and disseminating knowledge and information, branding ninjas, promoting Tourism, promoting culture, and revitalizing local economies. Through the creation of spaces all over Japan, we continue to make use of local cultural resources and spread awareness.
By strengthening this partnership, the two parties will continue to plan and promote various projects, viewing ninjas as an important part of Japanese cultural content.

Comment from Kunihiro Tateishi, Secretary General of the Japan Ninja Council
By supporting "ninja tourism" in the future, we hope to help more inbound tourists learn about real ninjas and travel to meet ninjas all over the country.
Furthermore, we see the upcoming international events being held in Japan as an opportunity to draw interest in ninjas, and will use this base development as the first step to further promote ninjas in the future.

Comment from Kenji Asada, Director of the Planning and Development Center at our company:
The history of the birth of ninja things is long, and it is said that their training and actual activities laid the foundation for future joint tactics. However, there are very few historical records and traces, so I felt it was an attractive theme for creating a space. In addition, the modern version of "ninja" has crossed the ocean and is now sublimated into a global content.
We hope that by utilizing our planning, Design, Layout capabilities, and realization capabilities, visitors to Japan will be able to experience the profound and refined spirituality of the ninja, and that this will in turn elevate their wisdom, courage and determination to be applicable in the modern world.
