About "THE TOKYO PASS -Culture Project"
In 2019, when the number of foreign tourists visiting Tokyo topped 15 million, a preparatory committee was launched to create a better cultural Tourism experience for inbound tourists. The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, which operates Museums run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and Tanseisha, which creates and operates exhibition facilities such as Museums across the country, compiled issues and requests regarding the reception of inbound tourists at cultural facilities, while the Tokyo Convention & Tourism Bureau, which is well-versed in inbound Tourism in Tokyo, and JTB, which has ample experience planning and operating Tourism services, proposed issues regarding use and operation and improvements to convenience. The project has been moving forward as a joint project under a business agreement between the four parties since September 2020.
