"Kokuri" was selected as the Grand Prix winner with more than double the number of votes from last year. Many messages of support were received from voters.

The Museum Character Awards introduces museum mascots submitted by Museums, science museums, zoos, aquariums, and other institutions across Japan in IM. An online popularity vote is held to determine the most popular museum mascot in Japan that year. Through unique characters that reflect the characteristics of each museum, the aim is to encourage interest in the museum itself and to encourage more people to visit museums. The awards have been held since 2010, and this year marks the 14th time.

Thank you for your many votes.
