News Release
The Sustainable Events Council, a group of five event Produce, has begun trial operations of workshops to encourage the realization of sustainable events.

All companies are expected to make a significant contribution to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo will also have the theme of "Contributing to the Achievement of the SDGs," and in the event industry, all event-related parties, including organizers, production companies, and production companies, are being asked to adopt a sustainability perspective.

On the other hand, the theme of sustainability is easily perceived as difficult, and the majority of events understand its importance but are unable to take the first step towards making an effort. In response to this situation, the Sustainable Events Council has developed an original workshop tool to provide an opportunity for all people involved in events to think about sustainable events. We are currently preparing for the official release, but prior to the official release, we are looking for partners who can cooperate with the test operation. By having many people experience the workshop through the trial operation, we hope to develop better workshops and contribute to the ongoing promotion of sustainability throughout the entire event industry.

[Features of the workshop]

Feature 1: Providing basic knowledge about sustainability

Before the workshop, we will explain the relationship between the event industry and sustainability, including case studies. Even those who are not familiar with sustainability can easily participate in the workshop without prior study.

Feature 2: Hint cards based on the "Sustainable Event Guideline"

We have developed our own hint cards that compile the checklist from the "Sustainable Event Guideline" published by Dentsu Live in 2022 into easy-to-understand illustrations. The content allows anyone to intuitively understand the key points that need to be addressed.

Feature 3: Fun and educational "red-inking" workshops

The workshop involves participants marking a tabloid article introducing a fictional event, making it a fun experience to take part in without having to worry too much.
