Tanseisha has designated "coexistence with the environment" as one of its material issues in its CSR initiatives. By addressing environmental problems such as global warming, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion, and working on countermeasures throughout its entire corporate activities, Tanseisha aims to contribute to the realization of decarbonization, coexistence with nature, and a circular economy. In creating spaces, Tanseisha implements "sustainable design," a design methodology for realizing a sustainable society, and aims to realize a vibrant and sustainable society.

Vinyl chloride wallpaper, widely used in interior spaces, is consumed quickly, leading to a large use of new materials. Based on the needs of designers and clients, Tanseisha explored an approach to replace part of the wallpaper with recycled resources. They focused on "recycled paper," which significantly reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions during manufacturing and directly contributes to the conservation of forest resources. By converting the backing paper, which forms the base of the wallpaper, to 100% recycled paper, they have created wallpaper that significantly "mitigates" the environmental impact without compromising on design or functionality.
