Received the Excellence Award (Trade and Industry Commerce and Service Councilor's Award) and other awards at the 38th Display Industry Award (2019)

  • Notice

We are pleased to announce that the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum Main Building, in which we helped create the space, received the Excellence Award (Ministry Trade and Industry Commerce and Service Councilor's Award) at the 38th Display Industry Award (2019) (sponsored by the Japan Display Federation).
Additionally, the "Eiji Tsuburaya Museum," for which we also helped create the space, received the Display Industry Encouragement Award (Japan Display Association Award), and "TAOYA Shima" was selected as a finalist.

This award is a well-known honor in the industry, and is given to those who have contributed to the promotion of the display industry. We would like to express our gratitude to our customers who gave us this opportunity, as well as to everyone who helped us along the way.

Going forward, we will continue to keep in mind the perspective of those who will use the space and work to create rich spaces that can contribute to our customers' businesses.

I believe that the fact that I sought to evoke memories of the immeasurable devastation in a space through the perspective of the atomic bombing survivors and pass them on to future generations is what led to this award, and will continue to connect Hiroshima to the world in the future. As the atomic bombing survivors continue to age, this was an opportunity for me, as a designer, to think again about and face the meaning of "communicating" in Hiroshima. I would like to thank everyone involved.
