Katsuhisa Okazaki, Director of the BIM Design Department of our Design Center, and Naoko Uramoto, Chief Designer of the Commercial Design Department, will be speaking at the web seminar "BIM Future Vision - Construction Design Now," to be streamed on Tuesday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m.
The trend of introducing and spreading BIM is spreading, with Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism starting the construction BIM acceleration project and private companies also starting to see more BIM-designated projects by building owners. This seminar will introduce the key points of BIM utilization in the design phase through the latest examples, and support the developing BIM movement.
In the latest case study (3) of the lecture, entitled "Expanding the possibilities of space creation with BIM," we will introduce examples of BIM use in the display industry and our thoughts on the future of space creation. This seminar can only be viewed online (application required).

Katsuhisa Okazaki
Director of BIM Design Department Design Center
After joining Tanseisha in 1992, he was involved in interior design in the commercial field, including restaurants, apparel, retail stores, amusement facilities, and Environmental Design for large commercial facilities. From 2005 to 2007, he was stationed in Beijing, China, where he served as the design manager for a consolidated subsidiary. As director of the BIM Promotion Office, which was newly established last year, he is involved in promoting the use of BIM to all stakeholders and training engineers. He is also actively involved in the general manager of the BIM Promotion Committee, a company-wide organization.
Naoko Uramoto
Chief Designer, Commercial Design Department, Design Center
Joined Tanseisha in 2020. Having spent a third of his life abroad, he studied interior design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of a New York University, with a minor in ethics and sustainability. He focuses on designs that take sustainability and the natural environment into consideration, and has worked on a wide variety of spaces both in Japan and overseas, from Commercial Spaces to accommodation facilities and office spaces. He uses BIM to realize sustainable designs that push creative boundaries.
