On Friday, May 30, 2025, the Saga Prefectural Governor's Award Ceremony for Meritorious Contributions to Prefectural Government for FY2025 was held at the Saga Castle Honmaru History Museum Saga Prefecture. Design Center Executive Creative Director Tsuneo Hong attended the ceremony and was recognized for his contributions to arts and culture, receiving the award for Meritorious Contributions to Prefectural Government for FY2025.

Every year, Saga Prefecture presents the Governor's Award to those who have made contributions in various areas of prefectural government as recipients of the Prefectural Government Merit Award.

Since being invited to serve on the Saga Prefecture Ceramic Museum Review Committee, Hong has served as an exhibition advisor for prefectural museums, supporting many special exhibitions and permanent exhibitions, including the Hizen Saga Bakumatsu Ishin Exposition (held March 17, 2018 - January 14, 2019). He also chaired the Ichimura Memorial Gymnasium Utilization Review Committee, which was the venue for the Hizen Saga Bakumatsu Ishin Exposition, and served as a member of the Saga Prefecture Arts Commission Advisory Board, among other contributions to the prefecture's cultural projects, which led to this award.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those who have given us various opportunities and to all those who have helped us in various ways.
Encouraged by this award, we will continue to strive to contribute to cultural activities.

Tsuneo Hong
Executive Creative Director TANSEISHA Co., Ltd. Design Center
After graduating from Musashino Art University, he joined Tanseisha. Since then, he has been involved in the planning, design, and Produce of facilities in a wide range of fields, including museums, expositions, and theme parks. Since 2002, he has served as a professor The University Museum, where he promotes practical research into the possibilities of exhibitions and museums. He has received awards such as the Japan Display Design Award Grand Prize, KUKAN DESIGN AWARD Grand Prize, the iF Design Award, the German Design Award, and the Design for Asia Award. His publications include "Exhibition Design Album" (The University of Tokyo Press, 2019).
