The Grand Seiko Museum has received the 8th Japan Exhibition Society Award.

The Grand Seiko Museum, for which we assisted in creating the space, has received the 8th Japan Exhibition Society Award.

This award is presented every three years by the Japan Exhibition Society to recognize outstanding research and achievements that contribute to the development of culture, while also promoting the advancement of exhibition theory, art, and technology, and raising the social awareness of exhibition studies.

We will continue our efforts to create rich spaces so that we can contribute to our customers' businesses, while keeping in mind the perspectives of those who use our spaces.

<Reason for award>
Seiko Museum Ginza, which originated from the Seiko Watch Museum established in 1981, further developed its focus on "time and watches" with the addition of the Grand Seiko Museum on the 6th floor in 2024. The interior, which makes use of wood, and the spatial composition, which is based on the motif of hanging scrolls, quietly engage the five senses of visitors and have the power to awaken a sense of "time." The exhibition is beautifully harmonized with the building, which is a local landmark, and the fact that the place itself is part of the experience is also a major attraction. In addition to introducing the company's watchmaking technology, the fundamental question of "what is time" underlies the entire exhibition, and by fusing it with the time axis of the brand's history, a unique worldview is Spatial Production. Through this universal theme, it creates points of contact with a wide range of visitors through a different channel than empathy with the brand, and is expected to contribute to attracting visitors to and revitalizing the local area. Leveraging its unique corporate perspective, it is an open presence to the community and society, and we look forward to its further development in the future.
