| Overview | Located on the 6th floor of the Seiko Museum Ginza, this museum is dedicated exclusively to Grand Seiko, a world-renowned independent brand. Given its location and the strong brand power of its products, the core target audience is fans and enthusiasts both domestically and internationally. The museum showcases the brand's history of origins and challenges, and the diverse and innovative products that have emerged from that journey. It aims to convey the technical value and brand philosophy of Japan's world-class domestically produced watches. |
|---|---|
| Issues/Themes | In addition to providing information as a museum, the aim is to communicate universal and essential values as a "top-tier brand" that Japan can be proud of. Furthermore, through these experiential values, it aims to create empathy for the brand and contribute to the creation of new fans. |
| Space Solution/Realization | Embodying the brand philosophy "The Nature of Time," the exhibition is structured around "the essence of watches told through objects" and "the sensibilities and spirituality of the Japanese people told through experiences." Historical exhibits unfold through actual materials and explanations, and a vast and diverse range of products are displayed throughout. The exhibition offers a refined experience of "Wa" (Japanese style), expressed through spaces inspired by hanging scrolls, pebbles, and plaster, as well as the spirit of hospitality expressed by treating watches as if they were single-flower vases. |
