Tanseisha has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on a strategic partnership with Autodesk, Inc. (Headquarters: California, USA / President and CEO: Andrew Anagnost, hereinafter referred to as "Autodesk"), the US company that sells the BIM software "Revit®," with the aim of establishing an optimal workflow using BIM in the display industry. This is Autodesk's first MOU with a domestic display company.
Through this partnership, the two companies aim to connect the BIM standards of the construction industry to BIM in the display industry, thereby promoting the spread of BIM*1 in the domestic display industry, thereby contributing to improving the working environment of industry workers and achieving carbon neutrality.
*1. Abbreviation for Building Information Modeling, a 3D digital representation of a building created on a computer.
The database of buildings, which includes attribute data such as cost, finish, and management information, is used for all aspects of the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings.
A solution for utilizing information in processes.

Tanseisha's strengths lie in solving business issues for customers and creating experiential value for end users in various social interaction spaces where people come and go. By utilizing the knowledge of Autodesk, which has a strong track record in global BIM software, cloud platforms, and API development platforms, we aim to create spaces that are of high value to society by linking data across industries and to linking data to cyberspace, through effective and efficient space management and utilizing next-generation digital platforms.
News Release
Background of the initiative
With the government's declaration of "carbon neutrality and the realization of a carbon-free society by 2050," environmental awareness is on the rise, and environmental initiatives are being called for in the display industry as well. With digital utilization at the core, we aim to "evolve" our business and workstyles and "transform" ourselves into the Tanseisha Group of a new era. In order to expand the possibilities of our vision, including improving the working environment, working to reduce environmental impact, and providing new value, we have decided to partner with Autodesk, which has a global business presence and a rich track record, and to promote the full-scale introduction and operation of BIM.
Overview of the initiative
1. Strengthening the foundation of BIM and establishing an optimal workflow for display industry workers
・Tanseisha will work on spatial creation in all fields, centering on the BIM Promotion Department (now the BIM Design Department), which was launched in 2021.
We will begin introducing BIM in this field and strengthen the foundation of BIM in the display industry.
・Revit®※2 and Autodesk Construction Cloud®※3 are positioned as design and construction platforms, and by utilizing them,
Establish a BIM workflow suitable for your industry.
・In promoting each project, we will utilize Autodesk Forge®*4 and BI tools*5 to aggregate data and visualize operations.
*2. BIM software provided by Autodesk. It covers a wide range of fields including design, construction, and facilities. It can be linked to various software through the Revit API.
The component attribute information management function enables the utilization of high-dimensional data. Currently supports 14 languages.
*3. A cloud service for project management in the construction industry provided by Autodesk. Digitalization and management of drawing data with functions for viewing and managing work.
Visualized project management.
*4. A cloud development platform that consolidates individual web service APIs provided by Autodesk. Geometric data and metadata included in design data
By seamlessly linking data with other web services, we can create connected solutions.
*5. An abbreviation for Business Intelligence Tool, software that consolidates and visualizes various information held by a company, making it useful for management and operations.
2. Utilizing BIM to contribute to the realization of sustainability
・Expanding the possibilities of using BIM as integrated data that continuously captures everything from urban and architectural BIM to spatial creation in the display industry
I'm going.
・Increase the efficiency of design space management by sharing information with project stakeholders on the cloud and centrally managing design and construction information.
By speeding up consensus building, we help reduce excessive and inefficient work.
・Use environmental simulations such as Autodesk Insight*6 to design spaces that reduce environmental impact and contribute to energy conservation and low carbon.
We aim to reduce CO2 emissions through the adoption of materials and equipment.
*6. A cloud service for building performance analysis provided by Autodesk. Using an advanced simulation engine integrated into Revit® and building performance analysis data,
to support the design of energy-efficient buildings.
3. Providing new design services through data utilization
- By utilizing generative design*7 and Dynamo*8 in design work and digitizing production and construction work, we will integrate design and construction.
By utilizing the data, we aim to maximize customer value by diversifying designs, improving their quality, and shortening the time required for Production, Construction
That's my goal.
・Using BIM data as a starting point, we will provide spatial experiences using VR/AR and the metaverse, and use simulation technologies such as digital twins.
Through these efforts, we will explore the future of spatial design in Society 5.0*9.
*7. Input design objectives, function, space conditions, materials, manufacturing methods, cost constraints, and other parameters into generative design software.
A design methodology in which multiple possible solutions are generated and the optimal design is considered.
*8 Visual programming tool. You can customize the functions you need and automate tasks.
*9. The vision of the future society that Japan should aim for, proposed in the Cabinet Office's 5th Science and Technology Basic Planning. Cyberspace (virtual space) and physical space (real space)
A human-centered society that achieves both economic development and the resolution of social issues through a system that highly integrates human resources, society, and space.
