For "R Nice," a non-combustible wall material (decorative calcium silicate board) that Tanseisha planned and designed, we have developed and collaborated with new intermediate treatment and recycling facilities, making it possible to operate the product in an area that has expanded to include two prefectures and eight prefectures, mainly in the Kansai region, in addition to the existing recycling area.In addition, to promote further use, we will be changing the specifications so that it can be installed with adhesive in addition to the conventional installation with screws.
AICA Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kenji Ebihara), which jointly promoted and developed the project, will begin operations on Wednesday, October 1st.

Background of the initiative
At Tanseisha, we have defined "coexistence with the environment" as one of our materiality (important issues) in our sustainability efforts, and we are working to solve environmental issues through the creation of various spaces, including environmentally friendly design in space creation, the development of sustainable products, and the promotion of sustainable material use.
Tanseisha focused on non-combustible wall materials, which are essential for creating restaurants with kitchens but have not been recycled. They planned and designed R-Nice, reconsidering the raw materials used in the building materials and developing them through the manufacturing company. At the time of release, industrial waste was collected in one metropolitan area and 12 prefectures, but in order to promote the reduction of environmental impact on a wider scale, new intermediate treatment and recycling facilities were developed, creating a process that enables 100% material recycling in the Kansai area as well. Furthermore, as a company that designs and constructs stores, Tanseisha has modified the specifications to allow installation with adhesives, expanding design options. Tanseisha will continue to propose and introduce this product, aiming to make R-Nice the best standard in non-combustible wall materials, and promote the creation of environmentally friendly spaces from both the material and construction perspectives.
Features of "R Nice"
(1) 100% material recyclable
Previously, non-combustible materials used in restaurant kitchens were often sent to landfills due to the white pigments they contain, which hindered recycling. By reconsidering the concept of functional interior materials and proceeding with the planning and development of products that eliminate pigments but still provide sufficient functionality, we have established a new scheme in which the materials can be reused as part of the cement raw materials after use by working with manufacturers, intermediate treatment facilities, and recycling facilities.
(2) Reducing on-site man-hours and construction costs
As part of work style reforms in the construction industry, efforts are currently underway to shorten and reduce work hours at each construction site. "R Nice" can be applied in one layer to the base studs and finished by directly fastening with screws, reducing on-site man-hours. In addition, an adhesive bonding method can also be selected, expanding the design options.

(3) Reducing ancillary construction work will help curb CO2 emissions and resolve the issue of a shortage of craftsmen
By reducing the amount of work carried out on-site, we can also reduce incidental construction and transportation, thereby reducing the amount of CO2 emissions associated with these. As materials and labor that were previously required are no longer necessary, the burden of the recent rise in material costs is reduced, and the problem of a shortage of craftsmen is also resolved.
