Comment from Osamu Kobayashi President and Chief Executive Ofcer of Tanseisha
Starting in fiscal year 2024, our company has adopted a new purpose: "Drawing the future through space, bringing color to people and society." Additionally, since 2021, we have been running the "NEXSTO - Next Generation Store Idea Contest" as an initiative to solicit and award ideas for next-generation stores from the general public. In light of this new purpose, we relaunched this initiative as the "Tanseisha Space Awards" last year. As a result, we believe the awards have evolved into one that brings together a wider variety of ideas across a wider range of fields and spaces than ever before. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the large number of diverse and enthusiastic ideas we received this year, our fifth year running.
In an ever-changing society, the perspectives required for spatial creation are evolving daily. This award welcomes free-spirited ideas that transcend industry and roles, and is open to anyone who is challenging the possibilities of "places" with an eye to the future. It is not just a matter of judging submitted works; it is also a valuable opportunity to directly interact with business operators and share their expectations for spaces and the visions they want to achieve. We hope that this initiative will inspire new ideas among participants and those who cooperate, marking the first step towards creating spaces of the future.
About this award
The Tanseisha Space Award is a collaborative field where new talent meets professionals who create spaces that will add color to the city, and where they can think together about the potential and shape of future spaces. Anyone who envisions a space of the future is free to participate in this award. As part of our open innovation, we also invite Tanseisha's clients to participate as judges.
