Comment from Osamu Kobayashi President and Chief Executive Officer of Tanseisha
Since fiscal year 2024, our company has adopted a new purpose: "Drawing the future from space, adding new colors to people and society." Furthermore, since 2021, we have been running the "NEXSTO ~Next-Generation Store Idea Contest~," an initiative to solicit and recognize next-generation store ideas from the general public. This initiative was relaunched last year as the "Tanseisha Space Award," in line with our new purpose. As a result, we feel that the award has evolved into one that attracts a wider range of diverse ideas across various fields and spaces. We are deeply grateful for the many diverse and enthusiastic ideas submitted for this fifth edition of the award.
In a constantly changing society, the perspectives required for creating spaces are evolving daily. This award welcomes free-thinking ideas that transcend industry and role, and is open to everyone who is challenging the possibilities of "place" with a view to the future. It is not just a judging of submitted works, but also a valuable opportunity to directly engage with businesses and share their expectations for spaces and the visions they wish to realize. Through this initiative, we hope that new inspiration will be generated for all participants and collaborators, and that it will be the first step towards creating spaces of the future.
About this award
The Tanseisha Space Award is a collaborative field where new talent meets professionals who create spaces that will add color to the city, and where they can think together about the potential and shape of future spaces. Anyone who envisions a space of the future is free to participate in this award. As part of our open innovation, we also invite Tanseisha's clients to participate as judges.
