As part of its efforts to create a comfortable working environment, Tanseisha has renewed the workwear worn by employees working on Production, Construction sites. With the full cooperation of sporting goods manufacturer Descente Japan Co., Ltd., the new workwear incorporates the functionality and quality knowledge cultivated through sportswear development into the design, resulting in comfortable workwear that does not hinder movement. Employees will begin wearing the new workwear in stages from March 2026.
The renewal project began after a meeting of female production workers who were aware of issues with existing workwear. Existing workwear had a variety of functional issues, such as shrinkage, wrinkles, stains that were easily noticeable, and transparency. There was also a need to embody the purpose and values of the Tanseisha Group through workwear and create an environment where each employee could find fulfillment in their work. With this in mind, we set out to renew workwear that anyone, regardless of age, gender, or employment status, could wear with confidence and feel the joy of working.
For the renewal, employees working on Production, Construction sites participated in the project and held opinion exchange meetings. A wide range of issues and needs regarding existing workwear were collected, and the design and specifications were repeatedly considered. Furthermore, a design questionnaire was conducted for all Group employees, and a highly functional and safe design that reflected the opinions of the worksite was finally decided upon.
Tanseisha will continue to contribute to the creation of valuable spaces by realizing well-being management through creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable and wants to work.
New workwear details

Compared to conventional products, this product maintains its lightness while using heat-storing and heat-retaining materials in effective areas such as the back and waist.
The slim silhouette prevents cold air from entering, ensuring a comfortable fit.

Upcycling workwear
Tanseisha has previously been collecting designated workwear that can no longer be used due to damage, dirt, or outgrowing the size, and has now implemented a full-scale collection in conjunction with this renewal.
The collected workwear is upcycled (a method of modifying items that would otherwise be discarded and turning them into new products) to create the Environmental Consideration building material "PANECO®," which is used as the wall material for the company's exhibition booth at the "SC Business Fair 2025" and as part of the large table installed at the entrance of Tanseisha's Kansai Branch (Osaka).
Our workwear has supported the safety of employees involved in "space creation" until now. Now, by upcycling, it will continue to support "space creation" as part of the office environment.

Comment from Osamu Kobayashi President and Chief Executive Ofcer of Tanseisha
Based on our purpose of "Painting the future through space, bringing color to people and society," we have been striving to create spaces that inspire. This renewal of workwear is an important project to create an environment where each employee who continues to take on challenges on the job site can work more authentically and with pride.
In this renovation, we have reflected the voices of our diverse employees to resolve functional issues that had existed up until now, achieving both high design quality and practicality. In particular, careful consideration that incorporates the perspectives of female employees and responses to environmental changes such as extreme heat are symbolic of the "ease of working" that will come in the future. We will embody an attractive corporate culture that will make current employees, as well as the next generation aspiring to become space design professionals, feel that "I want to work for the Tanseisha Group and take on new challenges."
Please look forward to seeing our employees in their new uniforms pouring their passion (red) and wisdom (blue) into providing even greater experiential value to our customers and society.
