To further strengthen its efforts to respect human rights in business, Tansei Co., Ltd. will become a full member of the Japan Association for Business and Human Rights Dialogue and Remedies (hereinafter referred to as "JaCER") and will begin introducing and operating the "Dialogue and Remedies Platform" provided by JaCER in cooperation with its group companies starting April 1, 2026.
Background and Objectives of Implementation
In order to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through our spatial creation business, our group formulated the "Tanseisha Group Human Rights Policy" last year and has been identifying human rights risks in our supply chain as the first step in human rights due diligence.
The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) require companies to ensure effective "access to remedies" when negative impacts on human rights occur. While we have previously had internal reporting channels such as a "compliance hotline," we have decided to introduce the JaCER platform, an external organization with expertise and neutrality, to allow all stakeholders in our supply chain to speak out with greater confidence.
News Release
Regarding the use of JaCER's "Dialogue Relief Platform"
This platform is an external channel through which individuals who believe they have been negatively impacted in terms of human rights in our business activities or supply chain (including all stakeholders such as our officers and employees, supplier workers, and local residents) can report such incidents while maintaining anonymity.
Our company will maintain this platform alongside our existing reporting and consultation services, integrating and coordinating them to facilitate the early detection of human rights risks and ensure transparent problem-solving. Furthermore, in resolving cases, we will utilize third-party functions such as expert advice and dialogue support provided by JaCER, which adhere to international standards, to prevent disputes from escalating and to ensure appropriate redress.
Our group will continue to prioritize dialogue with all stakeholders, fulfill our responsibility to respect human rights, and contribute to the realization of a society where everyone can work and live with peace of mind.
