The new brand name "NOITA" incorporates various meanings such as "noita" (boards made from the forest as it is), "noita" (boards from Kiso), and "noita" (boards made from small-diameter trees), expressing that it is a project and product that is close to the region and its people.

The standard surface is smooth enough to be used as a finishing material. Knots are a trace of the time the tree grew healthily in the forest. Both the elegant look of knot-free wood and the sense of reliability with knots are attractive features of plywood.

NOITA is a plywood that allows you to "choose" your adhesive. We plan to offer two types of adhesives: a formaldehyde-free adhesive that does not emit formaldehyde, and an adhesive that uses naturally derived materials as part of its raw materials.

We established our base in Kiso because we wanted to create plywood that utilizes small-diameter timber, which has previously been difficult to use as building material, and that helps to keep the forest cycle going. Each piece of NOITA plywood has a history of time spent in the forest. That time is the added value of NOITA.
NOITA is "plywood that layers beauty." We have increased the added value of softwood plywood, which was often used in places that are not visible, by carefully processing it so that it can be actively used in visible parts such as building finishing materials, furniture, and interiors. It is a product that is kind to both people and the planet, and we can handle custom orders that would be difficult for conventional large factories, thanks to the agility of a small factory.
NOITA will actively utilize small-diameter timber as a raw material, which previously had limited uses. If value can be created for small-diameter timber, then both the thick and thin timbers that are produced during logging can also be given value and put to good use. As a result, proper forest management will be promoted, and the entire forest will be able to cycle healthily.
In other words, manufacturing NOITA and distributing the product directly contributes to forest conservation and its transmission to future generations.
This project is a core initiative of the "Kiso Forest Grand Cycle Concept," which aims to build a circular economy utilizing the forest resources of the Kiso region. It is scheduled to begin full-scale operation in October 2026 at two locations in Shiojiri City and Kiso Town, Nagano Prefecture.
