"Posica® Kukkiri™ Film," a window film that makes scenery appear vivid, jointly developed by Tanseisha and Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (President and Chief Executive Ofcer office: Chuo-Chuo City, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Ofcer: Satoshi Ichimura; hereinafter "Mitsui Chemicals") and sold by point 0 Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takahiro Ishihara; hereinafter "point 0"), has been adopted for the new product "Firelight® F Airity™" (hereinafter, this product) as a new addition to the "Firelight® F" series of heat-resistant crystallized glass from Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd.
This product is a new addition to the "Firelight® F" lineup of film-laminated glass for specific fire-resistant equipment, characterized by its clear color tone. While maintaining its excellent fire-resistant performance, it offers a new Firelight® option that reproduces colors more naturally and enhances visibility. This product has been initially adopted at "MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives," a multi-purpose cultural facility that opened on March 28th (Saturday) at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY (Minato-MINATO CITY, Tokyo). In the Tokyo metropolitan area, where large-scale construction projects continue one after another, it is expected to be adopted in future projects that require both high fire resistance and an open, spacious feel.

Inside MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives
Firelight® F Airity™ brightly partitions corridors and open spaces.
"Posica® Crisp™ Film" is a window film jointly developed by Tanseisha and Mitsui Chemicals, both participating companies in the co-creation consortium "point 0 committee" operated by point0, with the concept of "changing the world in a positive and beautiful way." By selectively cutting yellow light, it has the effect of making scenery appear more vibrant. For this product, Mitsui Chemicals provided its unique "crisp™ pigment" technology, and Tanseisha, a professional in space creation, conducted evaluations in real spaces.

News Release
Background of this initiative
With large-scale urban development accelerating these days, dynamic spaces incorporating atriums and large openings are increasing, particularly in mixed-use complexes and public facilities where many people come and go. At the same time, disaster preparedness is also essential. Against this backdrop, in areas where specific fire-resistant equipment is required to prevent the spread of fire, there is a growing demand for fire-resistant glass that not only ensures safety but also accommodates spatial designs that prioritize unobstructed views and continuity.
This product is a new specification of fire-resistant glass for specific fire protection equipment, made by applying "Posica® Clear™ Film" to "Firelight®," a heat-resistant crystallized glass that is extremely resistant to thermal shock. The warm color tones unique to heat-resistant crystallized glass are adjusted using "Clear™ Dye" technology, reproducing colors more naturally.
[Visual effects using Posica® Crisp™ film]
The red of flowers, the green of leaves, and the blue of the sky appear deeper and more vibrant, while the white of clouds appears whiter.

Features of FireLite® F Airity™
(1) Natural color reproduction
Posica® Crisp™ Film adjusts the color tone unique to heat-resistant crystallized glass, making colors appear more natural and vibrant when viewed through the glass.
(2) High impact safety due to film
It offers performance equivalent to the 30cm drop height test in the JIS A 5759 shot bag test. As a shatterproof film, it prevents glass fragments from scattering or falling even if the glass breaks, ensuring safety and security in everyday life.
(3) Excellent thermal shock resistance
It has a near-zero coefficient of thermal expansion and is highly resistant to thermal shock, to the point that it won't crack even if water is poured on it immediately after heating it to 800°C. It is the only fire-resistant glass that can withstand the high temperatures of a fire and will not break even when rapidly cooled by water spraying during firefighting operations.
(4) Supports large board sizes
It can accommodate dimensions up to W1,200 x H3,000 mm.
Case Study: MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives
This product was first adopted for the multi-purpose cultural facility "MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives." It was designed to meet the demands of a design that combined excellent fire resistance with the transparency unique to glass within the continuous spaces of the facility.

Comment from Mr. Ichihiko Kosaka, Representative Director of Denki Glass Building Materials Co., Ltd.
Firelight® has been adopted in many buildings and has received high praise as fire-resistant glass. However, we have also received requests for a wider range of product variations, including clearer color tones in addition to the colors unique to heat-resistant crystallized glass. This new Firelight® F Airity™ with Posica® Clear™ film has a clear transparency that vividly reflects the view through the glass. We feel that we have finally made it possible to have fire-resistant glass that makes spaces more beautiful while maintaining its excellent fire-resistant performance. We hope that it will be adopted in even more construction projects in the future.
