About the Project

Overview We worked on the renewal project for the New Chitose Airport terminal building in collaboration with Enreisha Co., Ltd. In the shop and restaurant zone, there are not only restaurants and retail stores, but also a number of entertainment facilities such as movie theaters, hot spring facilities, and theme parks, which you wouldn't expect to find in an airport.
Issues/Themes Our goal is to create a memorable airport that will serve as the starting and ending point for trips to Hokkaido, which is blessed with a wide range of Tourism resources.
Space Solution/Realization Based on the concept of "Hokkaido - A mori of encounters and blessings," the entire airport is designed to be a "Hokkaido Showrooms" where people can enjoy their stay, rather than simply passing through. At the same time, careful consideration has been given to safety and universal design, and the airport strives to balance the bustle of Commercial Spaces with the functionality of an airport.
