| Overview | The Fukuoka Airport Domestic Passenger Terminal Building is being developed into a complex facility with commercial, hotel, and bus terminal functions. As the entire airport is being redeveloped, the food hall "the foodtimes," which was previously located on the second floor, has been relocated and renovated to the third floor, an area with a panoramic view of the runway. With mobiles and graphics featuring airplanes and clouds as motifs, we've created a space that's not only appealing for travel but also a place you'll want to stop by for a casual meal or drink. |

| Issues/Themes | To create a space that people of all ages, from adults to children, will want to use in various situations, not just before or after a trip. As part of the renovation of the existing facility, the goal was to ensure visibility not only for departing passengers but also for customers visiting the airport for tours or to see off passengers, within the limited facade space. |
| Space Solution/Realization | The concept is "a food hall that adults and children can enjoy together." To convey the vibrancy of the interior even from the limited facade, we adopted a symbolic ceiling design that enhances visibility. The interior is designed with seating areas that each have their own distinct character, allowing for diverse ways of spending time depending on the target audience and time of day. By incorporating playful graphics and mobiles that take advantage of the airport location, as well as displays of aircraft parts inherited from existing facilities, we have created a space where you can enjoy a special airport-like atmosphere no matter where you sit. |
