HANA KITCHO

Rebranding that inherits the founder's "tradition" and challenges "innovation"

 • Commercial Spaces

Kitcho is celebrating its 80th anniversary. We assisted with the rebranding project for HANA Kitcho under the direction of Kyoto Kitcho's third-generation owner, Tokuoka Kunio, who is taking on the challenge of innovation while carrying on the traditions of founder Yuki Teiichi.

The design concept was "modern Rinpa." Through collaboration with various artists, including washi paper sculptor Horiki Eriko, plasterer Hasado Shuhei, and moss and bonsai artist Kobayashi Kenji, we were able to create a space that has undergone bold changes while still maintaining the founding spirit.

About the Project

Overview Kitcho is celebrating its 80th anniversary. While inheriting the traditions of its founder, Teiichi Yuki, we assisted with the rebranding project for HANA Kitcho under the direction of third-generation Kyoto Kitcho owner, Kunio Tokuoka, who is challenging himself with innovation.

The design concept is "modern Rinpa." Through collaboration with various artists, including Japanese paper sculptor Eriko Horiki, plasterer Shuhei Hasado, and moss and bonsai artist Kenji Kobayashi, we have created a space that has undergone bold transformation while still maintaining the spirit of our founding.
