About the Project

Overview "CEATEC JAPAN 2011" is one of the largest international exhibitions in Asia for Video, information, and communications. The theme of Fujitsu's booth this year was "ICT Supporting an Affluent Society - Human-Centric Intelligent Society." The aim of the exhibition booth was to introduce cutting-edge technologies and services that support our lives and society.
Issues/Themes Given the size of the booth, we needed to create a route that would allow visitors to move around the exhibition without stress, without overlooking the wide range of solutions on display. At the same time, we needed to create a lighting plan that would respond to energy conservation measures in the wake of the earthquake disaster.
Space Solution/Realization From selecting the booth location in the venue to zoning plans and verifying visibility from each conductor, we conducted thorough consideration to arrive at the optimal floor plan layout. In addition, we adopted countless cubes as a design motif to express Fujitsu's technology. Each cube contains an LED panel, and the entire ceiling surface emits light to complement the ground lighting. We were able to achieve a powerful booth design that is also energy-efficient.
Design for Environment To reduce industrial waste and costs, we used reusable system materials for the fixtures' construction.
