About the Project

Overview The pavilion exhibited by the specified non-profit organization Zeri Japan at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo, themed "Revitalizing the Ocean," vividly depicted the realities and crises facing the oceans of "the water planet" Earth, such as the decline of artificial reefs, rising sea temperatures, major disasters caused by climate change, and plastic pollution. At the same time, it re-examined the relationships between these issues from the broader concepts of space, Earth, environment, and life, dramatically awakening visitors' environmental awareness.
Issues/Themes An exhibition space that dramatically awakens visitors' environmental awareness, a space where the architectural structure and interior exhibits harmonize and enhance each other.
Space Solution/Realization As Execution Design and construction team, we understood the intentions of the exhibition producer and pavilion architecture producer, engaged in extensive discussions with stakeholders to realize the ideal exhibition space, and proposed the best possible solutions while also considering cost aspects.
Sustainable design Universal Design: Complies with the Expo Association's universal design guidelines.
Consideration for the local environment: For the floor and counter fixtures of "Dome C," we used "recycled paper tiles" made from recycled paper. In addition, "paper tubes" were used for the legs of the spectator seats and display stands.
