About the Project

Overview An immersive night walk event will be held at Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture. The event is themed around the battles on Paradis Island from seasons 1-3 of the TV anime "Attack on Titan". Participants will walk through a 1.2km forest at night, illuminated with projection mapping and other Spatial Production, as a "new recruit of the Survey Corps," and experience the intense battles of the Survey Corps members up close.
Issues/Themes The goal is to translate the sheer power and terror of the giants unique to Spatial Production on Titan into a night walk experience, creating an exciting and engaging experience for participants. Furthermore, the aim is to skillfully weave the complex storyline into a route that is easy to understand and enjoyable to follow.
Space Solution/Realization We incorporated elements to create a sense of awe and excitement for the participants Spatial Production such as inflating and deflating a balloon shaped like a colossal titan with each Video Spatial Production, and Spatial Production the silhouettes of the titans.
Video structure was designed by working backward from the story's goal, the "Final Operation to Retake Wall Maria," creating a thrilling narrative leading up to the decisive battle in the nighttime forest, and generating Spatial Production for each memorable scene.
