About the Project

Overview This museum, newly established on the first floor of the new Toyo Seikan Group headquarters building, promotes the culture of container packaging. It introduces the history, technology, and ingenuity of container packaging from ancient times to the latest. Since its founding in 1917, Toyo Seikan has been a company that has contributed to society through its "packaging" technology. This facility is both a museum and Showrooms, and also aims to be a place that creates new communication between companies and citizens.
Issues/Themes The goal is for a B2B company to communicate in an easy-to-understand manner to the general public about its container culture, which is its business, and to create a facility that can be enjoyed by everyone, including children.
Space Solution/Realization Based on the facility concept of "opening up" container packaging, we proposed a space design and logo that embodies this concept. We aimed to create visual communication that would leave all visitors with the memory and experience of "visiting a container museum." We aimed to create a facility that anyone could enjoy by making the exhibit items and explanations easy to understand for children and enjoyable to touch.
