About the Project

Overview This facility allows visitors to look back on episodes and memorable scenes from the filming of the NHK drama series "Amachan," which was aired in 2013 and became a national hit, and experience the charms of Kuji City, where the drama was filmed. Located in a corner of the shopping arcade in front of Kuji Station, which was also a filming location, the museum exhibits props actually used during filming, allowing visitors to experience the world of "Amachan" and share memories related to the drama.
Issues/Themes The goal is to create a facility that will convey the charm of Kuji City, where the filming took place, through the charm of "Amachan" to not only fans of the show but to a wide range of generations.
Space Solution/Realization The exhibition features a variety of items related to the drama that fans will love, such as a "Kitasanriku City Diorama" that recreates the facilities and places that appeared in the drama in detail, and a kasuri hanten coat with the embroidered name of the protagonist's mother, "Amano Haruko," Spatial Production a space where visitors can enter the world of "Ama-chan." There is also a touch-screen search device where you can look up information on the filming locations and Tourism information for Kuji City, creating a place where you can experience the charms of Kuji City through the drama.
