About the Project

Overview This was an office relocation project for USEN-NEXT GROUP. The offices of nine group companies, with approximately 1,300 employees, which were spread across multiple buildings, were relocated and consolidated into a redeveloped building in front of Meguro Station. The new workplace was based on the theme of "NEXT STYLE OF OFFICE" and aims to strengthen the group's unity and promote work style reform. We assisted in the design of the office floor on the 12th floor and the reception floor on the 13th floor.
Issues/Themes The aim was to create an environment with a sense of unity as the group's integrated base, and to build a free and borderless workspace. The project also involved the creation of a presentation space where people could experience the near-future services proposed by the group.
Space Solution/Realization On the office floors, ABW (Activity Based Working) is promoted, allowing employees to freely choose the location most suited to their daily work. The floors have no walls, allowing for good visibility, and a diverse work environment has been created by combining 30 types of built-in furniture and accent greenery. The reception floor is a park-like space incorporating plenty of greenery to enhance hospitality, and in one corner, a small townscape-like space called "Next Avenue" has been created. Here, visitors can experience the near-future operating system proposed by the group in a realistic space reminiscent of a hotel, restaurant, beauty salon, etc.
