About the Project

Overview Showrooms introduces the Mitsubishi Chemical Group's (MCG Group) characteristics and vision of "Realizing KAITEKI." The target audience is domestic and international business partners who aim to co-create with the MCG Group. KAITEKI SQUARE consists of KAITEKI THEATER and an exhibition zone for MCG Group products and technologies. KAITEKI THEATER uses a large round screen, allowing visitors to enjoy Video depicting the world of the future.
*To visit, you must make a reservation through an MCG Group employee.
Issues/Themes To communicate the MCG Group's technology, initiatives and vision to business partners both in Japan and overseas in an easy-to-understand manner, while also creating a space where they can learn in an enjoyable way.
Space Solution/Realization We created original Video content to convey the message that focusing on contributions to achieving the SDGs and understanding and acting on the SDGs will lead to "realizing KAITEKI," which is the vision of MCG's management philosophy. The video has a multi-ending structure in which visitors answer quizzes embedded in the story, and the ending changes depending on the results, making it a mechanism that makes visitors want to return again and again. Content is available in three languages: Japanese, English, and Chinese, so that visitors from overseas can also enjoy it.
Design for Environment We used paint materials with fewer organic compounds to protect the health of our visitors. We aimed to save energy by using LEDs for all lighting fixtures and large projectors. Because this is a theater space, we took into consideration the prevention of danger in the dark and rounded the corners of the fixtures to ensure safety.
