Based on the idea of "respect for human life," the Tanseisha Group adheres to the principle of "safety first." By striving to maintain and improve safety and health in order to protect the lives and health of employees working at our offices and worksites, as well as everyone involved in our business, we build the foundation for our corporate activities and contribute to the realization of a colorful and sustainable society.
Tanseisha Group Quality Policy
By providing services of the appropriate quality, the Tanseisha Group builds relationships of trust with customers, business partners such as partner companies, and society, and contributes to the realization of a colorful and sustainable society.
Our basic policy for health and safety management is to "establish preventive activities as the foundation of health and safety, and aim for zero disasters and accidents." We have established various policies and priorities to ensure safe construction, high quality, and Environmental Consideration, and are working on a variety of activities together with our group companies and partner companies.
As a safety and health organization, we have established a joint labor-management safety and health committee that covers all employees, and have built a management system for occupational safety and health. The Safety and Health Committee is chaired by Director in charge of Production (Chief Safety and Health Manager) and is composed of employees with experience in safety and health management.
The Safety and Health Committee meets monthly to collect information on safety and health management and quality technology improvements in offices and work sites, in order to prevent injuries, illnesses, fires, and industrial accidents among our employees and those of our partner companies. It also coordinates, directs, and guides relevant departments, and incorporates employee feedback into its initiatives.
Although our company is not certified under OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001, we have established safety and health management regulations and conduct KYM (Hazard Prediction Meetings) incorporating risk assessments before the start of work at all our workplaces. We also implement measures to eliminate and reduce hazards, and we strive for continuous improvement of our safety and health management standards by running the PDCA cycle.
For new construction sites (new projects), we conduct risk assessments, including reviewing construction plans and safety plans, before commencing work. We also consider key management items in terms of safety and quality, as well as measures for prohibited and specially managed items. Furthermore, we hold "Construction Technology Review Meetings" with the aim of eliminating complaints, troubles, disasters, and accidents, and ensuring smooth construction. We strive to ensure quality by identifying and extracting challenges and problems in space creation, and by conducting legal compliance checks, structural verification, and construction method confirmations.
Furthermore, after construction begins, we conduct risk assessments, including joint safety patrols with partner companies, and hold disaster prevention meetings at each site to present the causes and countermeasures for accident cases.
The Safety and Health Committee analyzes and shares complaint maintenance reports to prevent recurrence, and also gathers information on improving quality technology, coordinating, instructing, and guiding relevant departments.
Furthermore, we define "quality technical management" as the inspection, verification, and guarantee process from the start of construction to handover, and by sharing and implementing "quality technical guidelines" that define the guidelines and procedures for quality management, we ensure appropriate quality and provide safety and security in our construction projects.
In addition, we have built a dedicated safety and quality site on our company intranet that consolidates technical knowledge and information to widely share information, and we also conduct regular reviews of our "Safety Handbook."
In addition to "production seminars," we also conduct individual seminars such as "equipment seminars" and "industrial waste seminars" to raise awareness about safety and quality control and provide various training, thereby working to strengthen safety and improve quality and technology.
In addition, every year we conduct seven types of training as part of our qualification education program: special training for scaffolding assembly, special training for handling low-voltage electricity, practical training for scaffolding inspection, training for foremen and safety managers, training for overall safety and health managers, training for foremen and safety managers to improve their skills, and special training for full-body harness fall protection equipment. We have established a system that allows not only our production staff but also our technical partners and collaborating companies to take these courses, providing a wide range of educational opportunities to improve safety and quality.
In preparation for National Safety Week, which is held every July, we hold the "Tanseisha Safety Conference" with our group companies and partner companies. At the safety conference, we strive to improve and raise safety awareness at construction sites by holding special safety lectures by lecturers from both inside and outside the company and by having employees give presentations on their safety management experiences at construction sites, with the aim of strengthening safety. We also share information on sustainability, including social and environmental issues.
