Issues/Themes | It has attracted a lot of attention as a symbol of the earthquake recovery, but rather than making a special appeal for the earthquake recovery, the given requirement was to create a facility where visitors could enter the world of the artwork and enjoy their time here, with the key phrase being "Dreams for children. Courage for adults." Another issue is that, 11 years after the opening, an increasing number of people are familiar with "Kamen Rider," one of Ishinomori's signature works, but do not recognize that the original work is by "Shotaro Ishinomori." |
Space Solution/Realization | When the facility first opened, the exhibits were aimed at core fans who were familiar with Shotaro Ishinomori, but the latest renovation has been undertaken with a view to making it easier for people to experience Ishinomori's work for the first time, and has been structured in a way that will not disappoint the expectations of everyone who comes here, from children to adults, who want to see the works. The rights came from a wide range of sources, including graphics, Video, and audio, but everyone was so kind and supportive that it was truly miraculous that this exhibition was even made possible. |
