Overview | The Toshiba Science Museum, which opened in 1961, has been relocated and renovated. It has opened as the Toshiba Science Museum, a place that brings together the best of Toshiba's technology and promotes cultural exchange in cooperation with the local community. With a smart community as its theme, the facility aims to arouse interest in science among many people and spread awareness of the wonders of Toshiba's technology and science and technology. |
---|---|
Issues/Themes | To communicate the wonders of Toshiba's technology and science and technology that are enabling smart communities, and to create a facility where visitors can experience and learn about the past and future of science and technology. |
Space Solution/Realization | In order to fully convey Toshiba's technology, the museum has been divided into dynamic zones that create a sense of unity. The museum has a history zone that tells of the company's founding, a science zone that hosts scientific experiments and workshops, and an amusement-style experience-based device that allows visitors to experience and learn about cutting-edge technology in a game-like format, introducing Toshiba's wide range of business fields from the past to the future. We have created a facility that conveys how Toshiba's technology supports our lives, making people feel closer to science and sparking their interest. |
