About the Project

Overview Located in front of Okachimachi Station, Yoshiike Shokudo was created to coincide with the renovation of the Yoshiike Main Building, combining the three existing restaurants, Ikedaya, Shun, and Hoshintei. This Tokyo restaurant offers a wide variety of Western and Chinese cuisine, with a focus on sushi and Japanese food, which are the hallmarks of Yoshiike Fish.
Issues/Themes The goal is to meet the expectations of the elderly customers who have used the restaurant until now, and to become a "famous food spot" in Okachimachi that attracts a wider range of customers.
Space Solution/Realization A large roof symbolizing Yoshiike's "mansion" is placed over the main hall of the restaurant, and beneath it are a variety of specialty counters offering the flavors of Tokyo's old and new common people. The central bar counter is intended to attract the younger generation to Yoshiike Shokudo. The grill counter where you can enjoy meat with a smoky smoky smell, and the sushi counter where you can taste seasonal fish are arranged in a modern style, spreading out beneath the large roof while retaining the relaxed atmosphere of the common people.
