About the Project

Overview TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO is Japan's premier entertainment complex, themed around sports, mobility, and sustainability, and based on the concept of "Betting on Possibilities." We were involved in creating the spaces in multiple areas, with the aim of developing a new "sports spectator culture" in Japan. The design is based on the idea of "combining the exhilaration of various forms of entertainment, including sports, with a sophisticated, authentic, high-quality feel and the essence of Tokyo," and has created Hospitality Spaces that will satisfy visitors throughout the entire building.

The TOYOTA PREMIUM LOUNGE is a dining space with a sizzling atmosphere, equipped with a live kitchen, and is the highest class lounge in the arena. The car exhibits on the facade and the counter area facing the aisle provide a place to quickly quench your thirst while enjoying the excitement of the sport, while the sofa area in the back is a place to enjoy a meal and conversation, making it suitable for a variety of uses, including MICE. We aimed to create a space that can be used as a social gathering place without losing the sense of exclusivity for VIP guests.
Issues/Themes As a full-scale dining space within a sports facility, we had to create the optimal balance of "exhilaration, high quality, and comfort" while fulfilling various functions. Another challenge was how to make the most of the space, which has a low ceiling height compared to the width.
Space Solution/Realization From the take-out counter to the live kitchen and the drinks counter in the back, we created highlights for each area while functionally organizing traffic. The seating area was designed with low furniture and partitions to ensure a sense of enclosure for each area. By encircling these areas with a line of light that circles the lounge and original art, we aimed to create a space where individual comfort coexists with an overall sense of groove.

We plan, direct, and design a wide range of spaces, focusing on the design of Hospitality Spaces, from public spaces such as hotels, Commercial Spaces, and station facilities to specialty shops. Based on the theme of richness unravelled from both empathy with the times and universality, we pay homage to the culture and history of the land or place through materials, art, crafts, etc., and strive to create spaces that bring inner fulfillment to users.
