Overview | Hitachi Civic Center Science Museum has renovated its exhibition floors on the 8th and 9th floors and has opened with a new nickname, "Sakurie." The museum is a place where people of all ages can develop their thinking skills through about 100 types of science experience content that focuses on "everyday life" to make science feel more familiar to them. Through "science," it has become a place of relaxation that can be used daily by people of all ages. |
---|---|
Issues/Themes | To aim to make "science" a new culture at Hitachi, and to create a place for creating a culture of science. To make the science museum a place where people can feel closer to the theme of "science," which is not so familiar to most people. |
Space Solution/Realization | In order to broaden the scope of science, the exhibition was structured around the theme of "Exploring science from everyday life," allowing visitors to encounter science hidden in everyday life while expanding the scale from the most familiar "me" to "home," "town," "earth," and the grandiose "space." Rather than presenting answers unilaterally, the exhibition was structured around experiences that visitors would want to try again and again, and variable experiential exhibits, so that visitors would be able to ask their own questions and develop their "ability to think" through repeated trial and error. |
