About the Project

Overview Sapporo Beer has completely renovated Japan's only beer museum as part of the 140th anniversary of the opening of its predecessor, the Kaitakushi Beer Brewery. The museum features a Premium Theater where visitors can watch powerful Video of the historical tale of the young people who overcame countless hardships during a turbulent era to successfully brew the first authentic German-style beer in Japan, as well as the Sapporo Gallery, which introduces the 140-year history of the museum in 12 booths.
Issues/Themes To promote the fact that Sapporo is the birthplace of authentic German-style beer and that it has grown alongside the local community. In addition, to create a historical exhibit that can be used as a communication tool by guides (brand communicators) during tours.
Space Solution/Realization The historical exhibit focused on the consistent inheritance of beer brewing and its history with Hokkaido and Sapporo. Each topic was divided into separate booths to make it easier for the guides (brand communicators) to give guidance. Frame-structured fixtures were used to ensure that the red brick walls were always visible, making the most of the space of the historic red brick building. In the theater, cutting-edge technology and equipment were used to create a memorable and moving Video experience.
