About the Project

Overview This facility was established within the Ibaraki business site by Nitto Denko, which operates in a wide range of fields such as electronics, automobiles, the environment, and medicine, based on its "adhesive and coating" technologies, and is an integrated facility for research and development and human resource development. While conducting core research to create new businesses, it also trains researchers who will be active on the world stage, and serves as an innovation center that creates new value through collaboration between people involved in these fields.
Issues/Themes To create a facility that realizes the brand slogan "innovation for customers." To set the stage for innovation by inducing everyday "realizations" and "encounters" through the combination of architecture, exhibitions, FFE (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and ICT.
Space Solution/Realization The facility is centered around the atrium "inovas Garden," and various spaces of different sizes are interconnected around it, creating a facility that encourages spontaneous communication and activities that involve the surrounding area. Exhibits and signs are scattered throughout the building, embedding the various knowledge and information possessed by Nitto Denko, and are planned to lead to the creation of new value when visitors make discoveries.
