About the Project

Overview This facility was opened on land adjacent to the Fujisawa Plant as part of the 80th anniversary of Isuzu Motors' founding. It is made up of three exhibition zones: "Isuzu Supports Transportation," which uses dioramas to teach visitors about the relationship between commercial vehicles and everyday life; "Isuzu Vehicle Manufacturing," which displays the process of how trucks are made; and "Isuzu History," which introduces past vehicles along with their historical backgrounds. The facility aims to let visitors learn about Isuzu's attitude toward manufacturing and make Isuzu more familiar to them.
Issues/Themes To create an exhibit that is easy for children to understand, yet satisfying for adults, and not just a facility that displays Isuzu vehicles and introduces the company's history, but also one that conveys the spirit of manufacturing.
Space Solution/Realization In addition to the explanations in text and on Video, actual vehicles, parts, and tools are also displayed to deepen understanding. In order to allow visitors to experience the manufacturing process, we have enhanced the hands-on exhibits so that they can enjoy learning about the truck manufacturing process. Some of the miniature cars used in the exhibits and dioramas in the museum were created based on 3D data of actual Isuzu vehicles, and we paid great attention to even the smallest details.
