About the Project

Overview In spring 2018, the new "2020 Series" trains were introduced on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line. In addition to pursuing safety and comfort, the exterior and interior of the trains are designed to be familiar and innovative, like never before. Our company, which designs commercial facilities along Tokyu Corporation's railway lines, oversaw the design of the trains, which also contributes to increasing affinity with the stations and towns along the line.
Issues/Themes Based on the concept of "a sophisticated, beautiful carriage that will continue to be the face of Tokyu in the future," the goal is to create a carriage that is full of "Tokyu-ness," thereby further enhancing the brand value of Tokyu Corporation.
Space Solution/Realization Aiming to give a sense of familiarity and innovation to residents living along the line, the exterior is in "Incubation White" (a color that represents the incubation of a beautiful era), and the front of the vehicle has a rounded, soft-looking face. The interior is based on neutral wood tones, and the color coordination of the entire interior, including the seats and lighting, is based on the scenery along the line, creating a design that gives a sense of familiarity and comfort.
