About the Project

Overview EDION Peace Wing Hiroshima, a soccer stadium built in the image of wings of hope in Hiroshima, a city with a diverse background, has the concept of being a "city stadium that creates excitement 365 days a year." We were in charge of planning, designing, and constructing the multi-purpose facilities "Football Museum" and "Stadium Shop" within the stadium. In addition to creating excitement at the stadium, we aimed to create a function that would encourage people to travel to the city and neighboring facilities.
Issues/Themes To propose an unprecedented urban stadium, including both hardware and software.
To create excitement even on non-match days.
To spread peace and become part of a tour of nearby facilities and Tourism attractions.
Space Solution/Realization The park has been designed to be enjoyable for a wide range of people, including an experiential museum where you can learn about the history of soccer development in Hiroshima and the origins of the stadium, and actually compete against top athletes, as well as a stadium shop that sells local products in addition to soccer team merchandise.
It helped to realize a soccer stadium that would become a new symbol of Hiroshima, located on the axis of peace in the "Hiroshima Peace Park Plan" drawn up by Kenzo Tange.
