About the Project

Overview TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO is Japan's premier entertainment complex, themed around sports, mobility, and sustainability, and based on the concept of "Betting on Possibilities." We were involved in creating the spaces in multiple areas, with the aim of developing a new "sports spectator culture" in Japan. The design is based on the idea of "combining the exhilaration of various forms of entertainment, including sports, with a sophisticated, authentic, high-quality feel and the essence of Tokyo," and has created Hospitality Spaces that will satisfy visitors throughout the entire building.

The ten food and beverage stalls located in the general concourse within the arena aim to attract new fan bases in addition to the core fans who are excited about the first newly built home arena for Alvark Tokyo, a member of the men's professional basketball league B.League Division 1.We were involved in creating stores that appeal to the club's original menu and originality, which will serve as the basis for the sponsor naming rights, including the official concept cafe ``ROOK Café'' for Alvark Tokyo's mascot character ``Luke,'' which is opening for the first time.
Issues/Themes The goal was to create a lively and enjoyable dining environment in a monochrome architectural concourse space with a predominantly white, black and grey environment and silver-coloured facilities.
We also aim to create a store design that combines the high quality befitting a Tokyo arena.
Space Solution/Realization Together with business owners and restaurant operators, we inspected several sports facilities around the country and held detailed discussions on what kind of store design we should create.
With the theme of "STAND OUT! ICON," we incorporated different menu concepts for each store into the facade of each shop and the original logo and VI design to create "high-quality, eye-catching stores."
The store facade was designed using materials that evoke the street vibe of basketball. In addition, a live kitchen was placed at the front of the store, expressing the excitement of the cooking scene and aiming to create a store that makes you want to eat.
Sustainable design Circular design: 4earth materials were selected and implemented during the Execution Design stage.
