As a project manager, I will share with my team the issues I hear about from conversations with clients and lead the entire process from the perspectives of budget, time, and quality, from the proposal approach to design, construction, and follow-up after opening.
We quickly grasp the trends of various business plans held by clients such as companies, organizations, and government agencies, and explore the possibility that Tanseisha can assist with the business. We come up with our own ideas on how to utilize the space, how to increase customer attraction, how to move the hearts of visitors, and how to lead the business to success, and work with other departments to make concrete proposals with the aim of receiving orders.
We have been involved in creating spaces in a variety of fields, including museums, science museums, art galleries, disaster prevention facilities, Tourism facilities, and children's facilities.
Since the sales position for Cultural Spaces also involves a consulting aspect, such as museum maintenance, I feel that a very wide range of knowledge and experience is required, such as exhibition methods, cultural property preservation, business schemes, facility management, public-private partnerships, and local history. There are many challenges, but I think the rewarding part of this job is that I can always challenge myself with a desire to improve, and ultimately, my work leaves a tangible mark. Another thing I enjoy is building connections with people all over the country through on-site inspections and other activities.
There is no set manual for sales positions at Tanseisha, so you can think freely and approach your work as you please. You will be required to have the ability to get people involved in promoting properties and to be considerate to customers, so you can work in a way that makes the most of your individuality.
Up until now, I have mainly worked in Commercial Spaces. Because it is a space where many people gather, I can see and hear the excited faces of customers, and when I share the joy with customers, I feel a great sense of accomplishment. It is a more down-to-earth job than it looks and can be difficult, but there is a good atmosphere among employees and many superiors and seniors who care about me. I would like to continue to think about my own sales style and grow.
I am mainly involved in projects for entertainment facilities, such as aquariums, hot springs, and e-sports facilities. Since the clients and internal members are different for each project, I get to work with a variety of people and learn a lot every day. As a sales position, I am also required to act as a producer who oversees projects, so I work while thinking about how I can work with clients to realize their dreams.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still many things that cannot be done alone, and I ended up working from home. However, I was able to work without anxiety because there was an online environment in place that allowed me to easily consult with my superiors and seniors.
I mainly work with large chain stores that operate apparel shops and restaurants nationwide. We receive many requests for renovations and maintenance, so we need to communicate closely with our customers on a daily basis.
As we gradually build trust with our customers, we are increasingly being asked to develop new stores to create even better stores. As we work through trial and error, we gain knowledge and know-how, which also leads to our own growth. When we see the store that we worked so hard to create together with our customers bustling, we feel a sense of accomplishment that only Project Leader can feel.
