"Reconnecting Design and Art" — Ritsumeikan University x Tanseisha: A New Form of Industry-Academia Collaboration

An advertorial about a new industry-academia collaboration between our company and Ritsumeikan University (located in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City; President: Yoshio Nakatani), which will conclude a comprehensive partnership agreement in August 2025 with the aim of co-creating across multiple fields such as education, research, and human resource development, and aiming to create new social value by transcending the boundaries between education and corporate activities, has been published.
The article features a roundtable discussion between Professor and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Design and Experience Design at Ritsumeikan University, Tomohiro Tatsumi, Branch Manager of our Kansai Branch (Osaka), and Akihiro Suzuki, General Manager of the Spatial Media Marketing Division Cross Media Innovation Headquarters. The discussion covers the background and vision of industry-academia collaboration, the "Faculty of Design and Art" established at Ritsumeikan University in April 2026, and "DESIGN ART GUILD," a new co-creation hub focused on spatial experience design. The presentation also showcases examples of projects in which our company provides services, such as "B-OWND," an art and craft platform, is exhibiting at the official satellite event of the Venice Biennale 2026, an international art exhibition being held in Italy, as well as "JR WEST Parade Train" (operated by West Japan Railway Company), "Amakusa City Goshoura Dinosaur Island Museum" (operated by Amakusa City), and "TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO" (operated by Toyota Motor Corporation, TOYOTA FUDOSAN CO., LTD., and TOYOTA ALVARK TOKYO CORPORATION).
